At the Flexible Learning Centre our job is to help you achieve your dreams and ambitions. From initial guidance onto choosing the right course for your needs, to final advice before you move on to employment or Higher Education or further training, we are here to help.
The centre is split into 3 areas:
· Flexible Learning Centre – An Independent School
· Flexible Learning College
· Flexible Learning Academy
The School
Flexible Learning School is a 14-16 alternative provision centre situated at the heart of the local community. We welcome pupils from all cultures, backgrounds and abilities into a disciplined learning environment that actively encourages them to do well.
This is a school with a heart, soul and spirit. The pupils are encouraged to study and learn, to develop every talent, to compete and to be challenged, to respect others and to take advantage of the teaching the centre offers.
We realise the need for every child to be given 100% support and guidance throughout their time here and at the school this is what we believe in. All our tutors are committed to providing the best possible teaching and to make sure that every child walks out of the school with some kind of achievement.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a warm and caring atmosphere and we hope that your child will find this a stepping stone in the right direction.
Courses range from general education (Maths, English, Science, literacy, numeracy etc) to specialist areas (ESOL, business, ICT, music, drama, art) to GCSE, Certificates, Diplomas or key skills classes.
Courses are offered according to need, availability and after consultation with agencies involved with the family.
The College
We offer a range of courses from level 1 certificates and diplomas to NVQs and GCSEs, subjects include: Health and Social Care, Administration, Business, ICT, Accounting, Teacher Training etc.
No matter which course you choose, you will have access to advice and support throughout your time at the Flexible Learning College. Education and training opens up new opportunities for you. We have experienced staff to help you equip yourself with the skills and qualifications you need.
We aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of the whole community. We achieve this by providing high quality education, excellent facilities and outstanding personal support to help all our students to succeed and to build a successful future.
The Academy
Flexible Learning Academy designs and delivers high quality, flexible and cost effective training for businesses, employees and those looking to enter/change profession.
Our courses range from introductory modules to comprehensive development programmes, and cover areas like business, health and social care, accounting, teacher training and computing.
Courses are delivered at times and locations to suit employers, from evening and weekend courses to those delivered during working hours at your workplace, and to help reduce time away from work we offer part-time study, home study, the internet and use of our learning centres.
We also provide a comprehensive review and training needs analysis and are able to provide solutions tailored to your business needs.
