Our aim at Flexible Learning is to provide a safe, inspirational and personalised learning experience in an inclusive environment that recognises all members of the community as equals in which our pupils will have the platform to achieve their full potential and become outstanding ambassadors of our community. We are fully committed to equipping our pupils with resilience, respect and the ability to manage their emotions so that pupils can thrive and flourish leading to a successful transition back into mainstream school, preparation for higher education, training and employment.

Health and Wellbeing
- Ensure a happy, caring, safe and welcoming environment in which pupils feel safe and secure.
- Through outstanding teaching and learning, help our pupils break the cycle of low expectations, feel valued and raise aspiration for their success so that all pupils strive for personal excellence in everything they do.
- Provide pupils with positive role models who will encourage exemplary behaviours so pupils can relate positively to others, and which will encourage responsibility for their own actions.
Excellence
- Provide a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum to help develop lively, inquiring minds and further their learning, social and employability skills.
- Provide early intervention and high quality targeted provision when it’s needed and keep our pupils in learning.
- Support pupils to reintegrate back into mainstream education, continuous education, training or employment or where appropriate, other specialist provision.
Work with others
- Enhance a sense of belonging and strengthen the commitment to society so that our pupils become aspiring, effective and productive members of our society.
- Provide support and guidance for pupils and their families to access a better future through partnership and effective collaboration with schools, agencies and stakeholders.
Monitoring and evaluation
- Ensure there are rigorous systems for assessment and monitoring of pupil progress so that our programmes prepare our pupils effectively for the next stage of education, training or employment.
- Ensure a culture of teamwork which promotes continuous improvement at all levels.
