Introducing our new SEN Hub
Our curriculum, teaching and ethos is designed to meet the needs of children and students who have severe to moderate learning difficulties and complex needs. Our pupils needs are wide ranging including those with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, varying degrees of developmental delay, profound and multiple difficulties and sensory difficulties.
We have been rated as ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ features over the past 2 full inspections.

Our SEN School
At Flexible Learning SEN School we maintain a caring and happy atmosphere where pupils can feel safe and are given the encouragement and support to achieve their best. We attach great importance to meeting the needs of the individual and celebrating successes, however small, of all our pupils. The pupils are at the heart of everything we do. We value mutual respect, co-operation and trust to ensure a real sense of community within a positive learning environment.
We aim for all our pupils to leave Flexible Learning SEN School confident and happy, as independent as possible and ready to take on the challenge of life beyond school. The committed and highly experienced staff work determinedly towards this by ensuring every student reaches their full potential. We work closely with parents to ensure a deep understanding of each child’s needs, encouraging a consistent approach that will help children grow and develop both in school and home life.

Safeguarding
- We will continue to ensure that the best interests of pupils always come first. If anyone in the school has a safeguarding concern about a pupil, they act immediately.
- A DSL or member of the SLT will be always be available on-site during School hours.
- We will ensure staff are aware of reporting channels for safeguarding concerns.
- Speaking to pupils directly where possible to identify any concerns and ensuring pupils are provided with clear communication channels so they can report any concerns they have, including reports of peer-on-peer abuse.
Transport
- The referring school will arrange transport where necessary.
